Teenager Sara Takanashi came up short in her bid for her second victory in as many days and finished runnerup at a ski jumping Women’s World Cup meet in Japan on Sunday.
Takanashi, who became the first Japanese woman to win a World Cup title on Saturday, posted the day’s longest jump of 99.5 meters in the first round, but was unable to complete a weekend double, finishing a distant second to Sarah Hendrickson of the United States with 234.2 points.
