NEW YORK (TheStreet) — Mitt Romney leads the delegate count by a large margin regardless of what source you trust, but voters likely have wondered who is correct.
To be clear, Romney captured the presumed-Republican-nominee title when Rick Santorum darted from the race, and it became especially clearer when Newt Gingrich said Wednesday that he would officially shut down his run on May 1. That leaves only Ron Paul, and he can’t overcome Romney’s delegate count.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (TheStreet) — Mitt Romney won Wyoming’s caucuses Saturday.
The front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination won at least six of Wyoming’s 12 delegates, the Associated Press reported, while former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum won three and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas won one.

TOPEKA, Kan. (TheStreet) — Rick Santorum won Kansas’ Republican caucuses Saturday by a wide margin, according to the Associated Press.
With 73% of precincts reporting, the former Pennsylvania senator had 53% support, the AP reported. That puts him far ahead of front-runner Mitt Romney, who had 17%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had 16%, and Ron Paul had 13%, the news agency added.

OLYMPIA, Wash. (TheStreet) — Mitt Romney won Washington state’s Republican presidential caucuses by a wide margin Saturday.
The victory gives the former Massachusetts governor momentum heading into Super Tuesday (March 6), when 10 states hold primaries or caucuses.
Unofficial results showed that with 99% of the vote in, Romney won with 38%, according to CNN. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas garned 25% of the vote, with former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum close behind, with 24%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich trailed far behind, with 10%.
