NEW YORK (Trefis) — Rumors surrounding Apple’s foray into the TV market seem to be growing in number every day, with some even claiming that the new iProduct could be arriving before the end of the year. The most recent one was floated by AppleInsider, which claimed that Apple is seeking to buy German luxury TV maker Loewe, but the latter shot down these claims soon after.
While most of these rumors have not been fact-based, Foxconn parent Hon Hai Precision Industry’s confirmed decision to invest in LCD display maker Sharp a couple of months back lent some credence to the rumors. (See: Is Apple the Invisible Force Behind the Sharp-Foxconn Deal? ) …

Apple (AAPL) has ordered iPhone displays that measure at least 4″, the WSJ reports, with production set to begin next month. With most rival high-end devices now sporting 4″+ displays, rumors (I, II, III) have abounded that the next iPhone will sport a larger screen size, but this is the most concrete one yet. Samsung’s (SSNLF.PK) recently-announced Galaxy S III will feature a 4.8″ display.

As rumors swirl (I, II, III) about the arrival of an “iPad Mini” with a 7.85-inch display, 52% of respondents to a PriceGrabber survey say they’d buy a 7″ iPad (AAPL) selling for 300. Moreover, only 22% of respondents currently own a tablet. Of course, the 9.7″ iPads are more than holding their own right now.

Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa is refusing to talk about his future as transfer rumors continue to swirl around the Borussia Dortmund playmaker.
“I don’t think there’s any need for me to answer that,” Kagawa said on Saturday, when asked if he would be returning to two-time Bundesliga champion Dortmund next season.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) — Apple stock has gone down for five straight days and so the media, with its usual search for certainty in an uncertain world, offered up reasons.
Investor’s Business Daily offered one reason, showcased in its headline: “Apple Stock Tumbles For Fifth Straight Day As iPad Mini Rumors Resurface In China.” That was the only reason IBD mentioned.
